Frequently Asked Questions
1. HOW LONG IS THE PRESENTATION?
Depending on audience participation, "HIMpact Illusion" usually has a run time of between 30-45 minutes.

2. HOW MANY AND WHAT TYPE OF EFFECTS ARE INCLUDED?
Because of the large amount of participation, action and dialogue between Steve and the children of the audience, the number of effects may vary from show to show. Typically, between 12-15 illusions are presented. The mix of effects include rope, silks, sponge balls, coins, cards, and even food. NO FIRE EFFECTS ARE PERFORMED, and every effect is guaranteed 100% SAFE!

3. WHAT'S THE TARGET AUDIENCE FOR "HIMPACT ILLUSION?"
The "HIMpact Illusion" presentation is geared for K (5 yrs.) through sixth grade children. Older children typically focus on the method rather than the message. The primary focus of "HIMpact Illusion" is to present the gospel, in order to bring a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to those who have not accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior. In addition, we strive to reinforce the message of Christ to those who have accepted Him. This is done in an entertaining, often comedic, but always Biblical fashion. The Gospel is the "end", the magic is the "means."

4. WHAT INVESTMENT IS NECESSARY?
We know that the economy has affected not just individuals and families, but churches as well.  That's why we are committed to working with you to provide a program that will fit your budget.  We have worked with groups from the dozens to the hundreds.  Let us speak with you about your needs and desires, and we will customize a program for you.

5. HOW MUCH "LEAD TIME" IS NECESSARY?
We are so proud of the response that has been afforded this ministry in the past year alone.  Naturally, the earlier you call upon us, the better, particularly during high demand seasons such as Easter, Christmas and during the "Halloween Alternative" times.  We will work with your schedule to provide a time that will be acceptable.  We do ask that, in the event of cancellation or postponment that we be notified two weeks prior to the peformance date.

6. IS MAGIC BIBLICAL?

As a member of the International Fellowship of Christian Magicians, Steve is an unapologetic subscriber of the society's Statement of Faith:

I have received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, and believe the Bible to be the only inspired infallible Word of God. I believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, and that He died on the cross as the only atonement for our sins; that He rose from the dead; that He ascended to the Father's right hand in Heaven, and will one day come back for those who trust in Him. As a member of this fellowship, I commit myself to:

(1) reaching lost souls and encouraging growth in the body of Christ through the use of such talents as magic, ventriloquism, and associated crafts
(2) diligently to be a more proficient performer with these talents, and
(3) carefully uphold the code of ethics of the magic profession relative to exposure of magical effects and ideas

The magical effects are performed as entertainment, and most are presented in a scriptural context. The children are made aware that there is no "Harry Potter" -ish sorcery or other anti-Biblical methodology involved whatsoever.  We will be happy to provide additional information.

7. WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS ALREADY SEEN "HIMPACT ILLUSION ?"
Since "HIMpact Illusion" is a relatively new ministry, chances are this presentation will be a new experience for your child. However, "HIMpact Illusion" is updated annually with new effects, routines, and dialogue. Additionally, you and your child's input is extremely valuable in molding future editions of "HIMpact Illusion." As the scripture is as fresh and new today as it was when written, "HIMpact Illusion" strives to maintain a fresh and new approach to the unwilting Gospel.

8. IS "HIMPACT ILLUSION" STRICTLY FOR CHURCH SETTINGS?
No. While "HIMpact Illsuion" is primarily Steve's method of sharing the message of Jesus Christ to children, performances also may be held for private parties and other child functions. "HIMpact Illusion" can be adapted for non-Gospel routines, if desired, for such events.

Steve is more than happy to meet with your children's ministerial staff to answer further questions, and to discuss if  "HIMpact Illusion" is right for your church.
